The driver of a car lost his life and two others sustained serious injuries when the car collided head-on with a KSRTC bus near Padubidri Beedu on the National Highway 17 on Monday morning. The deceased has been identified as Sridhar Nayak (40), while the seriously injured are Sukumar Uchil and Ashith Bhat.

Valuables worth nearly Rs 2.5 lakh have been reported stolen from the house of one M Jiyavuddin at D’Silva Lane near Kankanady IDBI Bank recently.
