Criminal case against Sunder Malekudiya ; complaint filed by absconding sister of prime accused

It has come to light of late that the Belthangady Police have registered a case against Sunder Malekudiya who is presently lying on the hospital bed after his fingers were chopped off with a weed cutting machine by a landlord at Neriya recently. The police, it is learnt have also filed cases against Sunder’s wife and son on the basis of a complaint lodged by Dayamanthi, the sister of the prime accused Gopal Gowda.

Angry women of Kenjaru smear coke dust on MRPL representative

The MRPL’s coke plant, though is quite far away from Kenjaru village, that has not spared the village of coke dust. Son accused of placing his mother under house arrest

In a shocking incident reported from Chandtimar near Bantwal, a man who had earlier denied entry into his house to his very own mother, though later let her in following a court order, has now reportedly placed her under house arrest. The accused is identified as Vishwanath. His sister Chandravathi had moved the court against him.

Health Minister Khader concerned over attempts to disrupt peace

State Minister for Health and Family Welfare UT Khader has expressed his grave concern over attempts made by some disruptive elements to disturb peace in the society through stabbing and such other incidents. Assault and stabbing cases have been reported without any reason in the region since the past few days and there is a ploy to incite communal feelings, the minister opined.

4 lakh tonnes sand extracted in just 3 months

A total of 4 lakh tonnes of sand has been extracted from the Coastal Regulation Zone area in the district between March and June. This is equal to the quantity of sand extracted from April 2014 to February 2015.
