Dakshina Kannada District in-charge Minister J Krishna Palemar who
failed in his attempt to secure a stay order from the Bangalore City Civil Court against
Karavali Ale and Gowri Lankesh for publishing reports regarding him, has secured
a High Court stay order against the dailies publishing ‘false reports’ regarding him.

Yashwanth Shetty, former president of the Ellur gram panchayat has
threatened to stage a protest in front of the ZP office in Mangalore if the suspended
secretary of Ellur Gram Panchayat was reinstated.

of the selection of former legislator Gopal Poojari to the post of Udupi DCC Chief. As
of now, there are all indications of the sitting DCC Chief B Ramanatha Rai getting re-
elected to the post.

Hectic lobbying is presently underway by several BJP men to grab the top post

Doubts are being raised over the statement made by Shivaram Bhandari
of Uppala that the cops have committed atrocities on him and have forced him to admit
that former minister Nagaraj Shetty was behind the suspicious death of Rajappa, the
gardener in Shetty’s farm at Panjikallu. Already, three cops have been suspended on the
charges of committing atrocities on Shivaram Bhandari.
