Drive against roadside traders is inhuman

It is inhuman on the part of the Mangalore City Corporation to permit the operation of
Civic Tiger in Mangalore without making any alternate arrangements for the roadside
traders.

The Mangalore City Corporation has earned a name for itself in the field of cleanliness
and has also bagged the Cleanliness Award. But of late, it seems Mangalore is losing its
image as a clean city.

Traffic is often disrupted on the railway over bridge at Baikampady on the National
Highway, thanks to a few potholes that have made a reappearance on the road.

their woes even after visiting the holy town of Udupi.

The sand mining policy of the state government has rendered several construction
workers unemployed. Today, sand, stones and other essential raw materials for the
construction industry are beyond the reach of the common man due to their soaring
prices.

The Mangalore City Corporation, with a hidden agenda to protect the interests of
capitalists, was conspiring to render the roadside vendors destitutes.

The Puttur-Mangalore and Yashwanthpur-Mangalore trains are always running to their
full capacity benefiting the public to a great extent. Even I am a daily traveller in the
Puttur-Mangalore train

Will you in your capacity as the Kaup Legislator answer the queries of the electorate,
farmers and fishermen of your constituency. We have a doubt if you are the elected
representative of Kaup or are a partner of the UPCL company. We have also a strong
doubt that you have forgotten the hope which you had kindled in us that you would free
us from the misrule of the earlier legislator Vasanth Salian.

The civil society should forever be indebted to The Canara Times and Karavali Ale chief
BV Seetaram for getting the Shiradi Ghat road repaired at a time when the ministers,
MLAs and MPs of the district could not accomplish it all these years.

The ever busy Baikampady Bridge which was somewhat relieved of traffic blockades in
the recent past, has once again reverted to is original condition. The recent showers has
once again created potholes on this stretch of road.
