The members of the Udupi district unit of the Human Rights Parishat who had recently rescued an old woman who was confined to cow shed by her children who had abandoned her, has in another case rescued a 65 year old mentally retarded woman who was neglected and found in a corner of a house at Ajekar Kaikamba. The Jaya Karnataka Vedike Members later admitted her to the hospital.
