It is being said that the continuous harassment and assault by fellow jail mates might have forced under trial Krishna Marakala to end his life. Krishna Marakala who had been arrested on charges of raping and murdering a young woman of Kadoor village some time back, had committed suicide by hanging himself with his lungi in the bathroom of the Udupi District Jail at Kajaraguttu on July 28 Wednesday.
