Cheating case against city’s criminal lawyer arouses curiosity

The Pandeshwar police have filed a case of cheating against Mangalore’s criminal lawyer SS Khazi and two others in connection with a complaint lodged by a woman alleging that the three had not only cheated her but had also forged documents to grab property.. The lawyer, it is learnt, has secured anticipatory bail in this connection. This is a rare case wherein an advocate of the city is facing such criminal charges which if proved, he would be liable to undergo an imprisonment for ten years or life imprisonment. The case is before the Second Additional CJM Court in Mangalore.
