MANGALORE : District in-charge Minister Krishna Palemar has informed that a
religious shrine on the National Highway at Brahmarakootlu near BC Road would be
shifted to some other place.
Speaking to reporters, the minister said talks have already been held with the
management of the shrine. He at the same time said no time limit has been set for the
shifting of the shrine.
It may be recalled here that the attempts of the National Highway Authority since the past
several years to vacate this shrine from the place, was unsuccessful following opposition
from locals. The shrine has proved an obstacle in the highway extension works.
