PADUBIDRI : A labourer met a tragic end when soil caved in inside the Nagarjuna

(UPCL) site at Padubidri during the task of laying a ten feet deep pit.

The deceased has been identified as Mantesh (24), son of one Chandappa of Davangere.

It is learnt, he was working under a private contractor of Padubidri at the site since the

past one month. The mishap occurred just when Mantesh was about to come up. A

machinery that was passing from above, led to the caving in of the soil.
Though he was immediately rescued and shifted to a private hospital, he had breathed his

last by then.
