years ago was traced at BC Road bus stand on the morning of July 5, the day of the
Bharat Bundh, by the police who were on security duty, bringing smiles on the faces of
the family of the youth which was shattered ever since he went missing. Even the police
officials had a sense of satisfaction of uniting a father and a son.
The youth Harish is now 20. He had left his home at DG Koppalu in Piriyapatana of
Mysore district on April 7, 2004 when he was just 14. Though his father Nagaraj Gowda
had complained with the police, it was futile as the police could not trace the whereabouts
of the boy. The family only waited in desperation for the son to return. Meanwhile,
Harish who had deserted home, worked in some hotels and bars in Mysore, Hassan and
had finally landed in Mangalore where too he worked in a bar. But somehow, he decided
to go to Bangalore again and had landed in the BC Road bus stand. But as July 5 was a
bundh, he, unable to board any bus, fell asleep at the bus stand and was noticed by the
cops on security duty. It was only when he was enquired that it came to light that he had
left home six years ago.
Immediately, his family was contacted and his father was in the town the very next
day. An extremely pleased Nagaraj Gowda had no hesitation in saying then that his son
had left home six years ago unable to see his mother suffer at the hands of his father.
The father and son have left for their hometown.
