MOODBIDRI : A passenger who was traveling on the footboard of a bus died when the bus hit an electric pole near Mijaru. Two more passengers sustained injuries in the accident.
The deceased person has been identified as Jagadeesh (23) a student of AJ Soans ITI. The Two injured persons have been identified as Ranjan and Kiran, students of MIT and Alva’s college of Moodbidri respectively. It was said that the students were holding onto the footboard of the bus hit when it hit an electric post while veering towards to left side of the road to make way for another bus coming from the opposite direction. The injured students have been admitted to AJ Hospital in Mangalore.
