Vigilante group attacks Mangalore University student

Mangaluru : An incident wherein a post graduate student who had arrived with his friends to the Ullal beach was abducted and assaulted by immoral goonda elements has been reported on October 6, Tuesday.
A total of five students of the University including two Hindu girls, a Muslim girl and two Hindu youth had arrived at the beach at Ullal after visiting the Someshwar Temple. It has been gathered that the saffron brigade members had started following tehs tudents who were busy taking snaps and enjoying the day.
Meanwhile, the students who all of a sudden realised that they wer being followed boarded a bus towards Tokkottu. But the unrelenting gooda elements followed them in an autoricjshaw and waylaid the bus near Thokkotu. By then the Muslim student had escaped and the angry group abducted the Hindu student and took him to the place near the entrance of the Mangalore University and thrashed him asking him to divulge the details regarding the other boy.
A local resident who noticed this had immediately informed the Ullal Police who managed to rush to the spot and arrest the accused namely Prajwal, Suhan, Sunil and Abhilash.
