Mangaluru: Members of the Shikshana Rakshana Vedike who paid surprise visits to different schools in the city in the backdrop of complaints that some private schools were collecting higher fee in violation of the Education Department orders, alleged that the schools have not put up information on notice boards as instructed by the Department.
The Vedike President Dinesh Hegde Ulepady said “Most private schools have flouted the orders of the Education Department despite the Block Education Officers issuing circulars to the school s in this regard.”
Here it is worth mentioning that a meeting of the District Education Regulation Authority held at the DC office here recently had directed the Education Department to ensure that all schools put up information regarding fees collected from the students on their respective notice boards.
After its surprise visit to the schools, the Vedike has submitted a memorandum to the Deputy Commissioner demanding action against erring schools.
