VITTAL: Two students met a tragic end when the bike they were riding was hit by a bus at Vittal on Sunday. The deceased have been identified as Rizwan (20), a student of PA Engineering College, Konaje and Asif (20), a student of SDM College, Mangalore.
Rizwan, a relative of a rubber estate owner at Salettur near Vittal, had along with his friends come to Salettur from Mangalore in three bikes on Sunday. Reports said the speeding bike which Rizwan and Asif were riding, dashed against the Mudipu-Mangalore bus named Datta Kripa, killing both of them on the spot.
Locals say the youth used to stay at the guest house at Salettur owned by the rubber estate owner, whenever they came to Salettur. On Sunday too many had seen them moving at great speed as if they were participating in a rally.
