BANGALORE : Mangalore Legislator UT Khader has urged the state government against permitting Hindu Samajotsavs in Manglaore. Speaking to reporters after taking part in the Assembly session on Thursday, Khader said the situation in Mangalore was extremely sensitive and any permission granted to hold Hindu Samajotsavs may prove dangerous “ In case Hindu Samajotsavs are permitted, then the government itself should take the blame of any untoward incident,” he warned.
He also took strong exception to the government inaction when he said “The government which is keen in handcuffing scribes does not show the same enthusiasm in arresting the accused in cases of attacks on newspaper offices.”
He further demanded that the government took immediate measures to prevent sand smuggling towards Kerala from Mangalore.
