MANGALORE : The reports that three leaders of Hindu organizations had links with the underworld don Ravi Poojari, has greatly disturbed the Hindu organizations. It is also learnt that senior leaders of the Sangh Parivar have already begun serious discussions on this matter to find out who the leaders are.
It may be recalled here that The Canara Times and Karavali Ale had reported on Thursday regarding a statement made by the SP that apart from Prasad Attavar there were three other leaders of Hindu organisations who had links with Ravi Poojari .
If reports are to be believed, a BJP leader of the city was in close touch with Ravi Poojari since the past several years. The name of this leader who runs a gas agency in Mangalore was earlier even heard in the Vamanjoor Rohi murder case. According to one source, this particular BJP leader had spoken for long with Ravi Poojari the day when Ravi Poojari aide Dhananjaya Poojari was killed in an encounter in Gurupur. Reports say police have already gathered information that even Prasad Attavar had a long talk with Ravi Poojari that day.
It has also been learnt that a leader of an organization operating from Urvastores too had links with Ravi Poojari and that this leader had rose to fame after detecting the cattle smuggling from Kudroli’s slaughter house to different places of the district during night.
