Mangalore: A complaint has been registered in Bunder Police station against staff of SDBCISCO Bank, which is said to have entered into an agreement with Ind Sind Bank for allegedly defrauding the bank to the tune Rs 9.85 lakhs.
The accused has been identified as Shashikiran a resident of Badaga Bellur of Bantwal taluk who was alleged to have defrauded the bank by withdrawing lakshs of rupees from the ATM of the bank.
The accused, who is working as a cash officer in SDBCISCO bank for the last one year, has been alleged to have secretly withdrawn Rs 9.85 lakhs of rupees from the ATM of Ind Sind bank near PVS. Upon coming to know about this the Senior Manager of SDBCISCO C P Gopi Mohan is said to have enquired with Shashi Kiran. During this enquiry Shashikiran was reported to have confessed to his withdrawing the money apparently under financial stress and assured that he would repay the money at the earliest. Since Shashi Kiran failed to pay this money the Senior Manager of SDBCISCO C P Gopi Mohan lodged a complaint with the Bunder Police station. In the complaint, it has been alleged that Shashikiran who has been entrusted with the task of providing cash to Ind Sind bank ATM misused the ATM by using the keys given to him. The Bunder police have registered the case and arrested the accused.
