KARKALA : Hindu organizations of Karkala have helped a young Muslim woman marry a Hindu youth with whom she was in love. Sainabi (18) of Kervashe and Nithin Madivala (21) of Nellikar, a welder by profession, entered into marital bliss on Friday, thanks to the Hindu organizations.
Sainabi and Nitin were in love since the past few years. However Sainabi’s family on coming to know of the affair had objected to their marriage, while Nitin’s family had agreed. Sainabi’s family even tried to place her under house arrest so that she could not contact Nitin. The youth eventually contacted the Karkala Bhajrangdal and VHP members requesting for help.
Accordingly, the Hindu associations were successful in bringing Sainabi to the Rama Mandir near the Karkala taluk office on Friday afternoon and the wedding took place in the presence of Nitin’s family. It is learnt Sainabi’s name has been changed to Sneha after the wedding.
