DYFI holds bike rally in city

MANGALORE:  A bike rally was organized by the city unit of the DYFI  in the city on  Friday to  publicise the  city DYFI conference scheduled to be held on January 10.

The rally led by DYFI city unit Secretary Ramesh Kumar and District Secretary Dayanand Shetty commenced from near the DC office and concluded at Urvastores. Hundreds of enthusiastic DYFI activists took part in the rally.

Earlier addressing the participants of the rally, Ramesh Kumar said the DYFI has been waging a relentless battle against the anti-people policies of the BJP government in the state and the Congress government at the Centre. Stating that the DYFI was attracting more youth in this backdrop, he said the city conference would be a witness to the growing popularity of the DYFI.

The rally was earlier inaugurated by former DYFI state President Sunil Kumar Bajal.

The DYFI city conference would be held at Urva Maidan on January 10 and would be participated by Legislator GV Rama Reddy and writer Siddalingaiah among others.

A massive rally would also be held from Kottara Chowki upto Urva stores in connection with the conference.
