BHATKAL : KPCC President RV Deshpande has predicted a downfall of the BJP government in the state even prior to the outcome of the MLC polls.
Addressing a campaign meet in favour of the MLC candidate SL Fotnekar at the Rabitha Society Hall in the town on Tuesday, Deshpande said ” The State government which is in the clutches of the Bellary Reddys is counting its days.”
Stating that the Congress would for any reason not try to destabilize the BJP government in the state, he pointed out that the government was facing instability despite it having the support of 122 legislators. “The BJP government is drifting away from the people as it has to seek the approval of the Reddys for each and everything,” he alleged.
The MLC candidate SL Fotnekar, Legislator JD Naik, local women’s wing chief of the party Vanitha Naika, TMC chief Parvez Khashim and others were on the dais.
