MANGALORE : The Democratic Youth Federation of India has alleged that the MCC Joint Commissioner Madhukar Gadkar had violated the Karnataka Public Services Commission guidelines by blaming the DYFI in his haste to appease the anti-Dalits and to shield his corrupt practices.
In a press communique, Ramesh Kumar, city unit secretary of the DYFI said ” The Joint Commissioner, a KAS Grade officer who was severely embarrassed after his true colour was unravelled following the protest staged by DYFI against insulting Dalits in public, now by threatening legal action against the DYFI, has not only offended the government post he was holding but has also violated the guidelines laid down by the Karnataka Public Service Commission.”
He further said the Joint Commissioner who ought to have sought an apology from the Dalits, instead, by threatening the DYFI of legal action, has only made an attempt to curb a democratic movement. This,he said has also proved that the 18 per cent reserve fund meant for the Dalits has been misused.
The DYFI further said it would seek a Lokayukta probe against the Joint Commissioner.
