Kalladka visits Halady residence; talks fail

KUNDAPUR: It has been reliably learnt that RSS leader Kalladka Prabhaker Bhat visited the residence of former Kundapur MLA Halady Srinivas Shetty at Halady on Friday night in order to persuade Halady to remain in the BJP. However, his efforts went in vain, reports said. Kalladka was accompanied by a person named Subrahamanya Holla.

It may be mentioned here that a cold war between the RSS and the BJP in Kundapur, had reached its flash point with the resignation of Halady Srinivas Shetty to his legislatorship. Now, it is believed the Bhajrangis as well as the Sangh Parivar are making a last ditch effort to do some patch-up.

Reports say the main intention of Halady’s visit was to convince Halady that Kalladka was innocent, as far as depriving ministership to the former was concerned. The visit also aimed to see that Halady remained in BJP and also to do some patch up bid between Halady and Adyantaya.

Yet another intention of Kalladka was to see that Halady did not assist the Lokayukta probe against Adyantaya. Sources have now revealed that Halady had refused to heed to any of the request of Kalladka.
