VITTAL: An electricity pole which was in a dangerous position at Narshapadpu in Kolnadu area in Panemangalore MESCOM limits, has been removed from the place by the authorities. The pole which was on a curve was posing danger and even caused a number of accidents.
The several appeals made by the locals earlier to the elected representatives and officials had fallen on deaf ears. As a last resort, the locals had informed Karavali Ale, the sister publication of The Canara Times which had published the report along with a photograph.
Responding to the public interest report, the MESCOM officials have visited the place on Monday and have taken steps to remove the pole.
