PUTTUR : A bridge in Kumbra in Puttur is in danger following collapse of a portion of the embankment of the bridge recently after a lorry rammed against it.

This bridge located near Kumbra masjid on the Puttur-Sullia state highway is nearly 40 years old. The lorry had hit against the embankment last Saturday damaging the bridge partially. Presently, motorists have to drive the bridge very carefully and any recklessness would lead to grave consequences.

The locals have appealed to the departments concerned to take early steps to repair the bridge.
