UDUPI : Senior Congress leader B Janardhan Poojari has said that the journalists who had videographed the dastardly act of the Jagarana Vedike activists at the Morning Mist home stay, namely Naveen Soorinje, Sharan, rajesh Rao and Vinay Krishna will be honored with a cash reward of Rs 10,000 during the Dasara celebrations of Kudroli Gokarnanatheshwara Temple.

Referring to the Karavali Ale write-up on Naveen Soorinje of Kasturi Channel, Poojari said he will do what Seemanth Kumar ought to have done.

He said the Hindu Jagarana Vedike activists had even committed atrocities on the scribes who were present during the Morning Mist attack. Referring to the Karavali Ale write-up he said “The Commissioner who ought to have rewarded Naveen, has instead threatened to fix him in the case. This is condemnable.”

He said the police have ventured into the misadventure of fixing scribes who had videographed the incident. The BJP government has incapacitated the police department, he said and added that the incident was pre-planned and an unpardonable act. He also demanded that all the culprits must be booked under Goonda Act.
