UDUPI : The Udupi district unit of the Campus Front of India staged a demonstration in front of the Gandhi statue near the service bus stand in the town on July 24, Tuesday, condemning what it said the false complaint lodged by the principal and management of the Ramakunjeshwara Degree College of Puttur against the CFI State President and some innocent students.
The complaint was lodged after the students of the college in association with local organizations had recently staged a protest outside the college premises urging the management to permit head scarf wearing students into the class.
The CFI has now alleged that the college principal and management had lodged false complaints just to suppress the agitation of the students and to curtail the rights of the students.
