MANGALORE : The Mangalore University has denied admission to Vittal Malekudiya for the third semester Journalism post graduate course despite Vittal submitting an application for the same. The denial has come after Vittal who was arrested about four months back on charges of Naxal links was recently released on bail. Reports as of now say that Vittal was thinking in terms of moving the court questioning the university decision.

The third semester course of Mangalore University begins on July 23. Mangalore University Vice Chancellor has said that that though University rules did not permit Vittal to write his exams, he had to be permitted follow per court orders. If there is a court ruling even in case of admissions, then the University will honour the ruling, he said.

It has been learnt that Vittal will now move the Belthangady JMFC Court which had earlier permitted him to appear for the exams.
