Energy minister’s kin among 4 arrested for partying in Subrahamanya Temple lodge

MANGALORE : The Subrahamanya Police have arrested four persons including a relative (Brother) of Energy Minister who were found in an inebriated state in a lodge belonging to the Kukke Subrhamnya Temple.

The Temple administrative officer who gathered information that the minister’s relative Ashok and his three friends were holding a drinks party in a temple lodge, immediately arrived at the lodge when the four were found in an inebriated state. The Subrahmanya police later, arrested the four.

All the four were serving the temple as its staff. It is learnt, Ashok could get the job courtesy his sister. There is an allegation that Ashok, taking advantage of his sister’s position even behaved in a high handed fashion.

Meanwhile, it is learnt that the police have released the four after duly warning them. No case has been registered. In another development, the temple Administrative Officer has served a show cause notice to all the four for consuming liquor in the temple lodge.
