Girl who escaped from Puttur Ashram traced at Uppinangady

UPPINANGADY : A girl hailing from Sakleshpur who was attending school from an Ashram in Puttur and had gone missing recently has been traced at Uppinangady and sent back to the Ashram with the help of Uppinangady police.

The girl Smitha, an eight standard student was admitted to the Ashram school by her parents. However, unable to live away from home, she had quietly escaped and was found at the Uppinangady bus stand, The Uppinangady police who noticed the girl enquired her and later contacted the Ashram at Puttur when it came to light that she had escaped from there.

The girl has been entrusted to the custody of Ashram authorities.
