UDUPI: The Canara Times and Karavali Ale report on May 23 titled “Village in Byndoor turns into dumping ground’ has had its impact. The Yadtare Gram Panchayat in Byndoor which rose to the occasion on seeing the news, wasted no time in disposing the wastes accumulated in several parts of the village.

However, villagers are still complaining that the panchayat has not successfully disposed wastes from all the places, as wastes are still lying scattered at some places.

It may be mentioned here that the report had earlier mentioned how wastes had been rotting in several places of the village for months together, giving rise to cleanliness problems as well as the fear of spread of contagious diseases.
