Shirva GP turns blind eye to leaking water pipeline

PADUBIDRI : Residents of Shirva are agitated over the local gram panchayat administration for its failure to initiate remedial measures to check wastage of water from a ruptured pipeline in the panchayat limits. The villagers say their repeated appeal to the local gram panchayat has so far fallen on deaf ears even when there is a cry for water everywhere.

The pipeline beneath the Shiva Belman road near Kapikad Sooda cross has ruptured and one can see water flowing on the nearby drain too. In fact, the stretch of road from Shirva to Pilarkhana was bituminized recently. But, the ruptured pipeline on this stretch has now also created a pothole on this road, turning it into a tiny puddle.

There have even been instances of two wheeler riders meeting with accidents here. The villagers want the local panchayat to act soon and initiate steps to repair the pipeline and save precious water.
