MANGALORE : The growing resentment in the literary circles over the supremacy of Pradeep Kumar Kalkura in the District Sahitya Parishat as its President for over a decade, is likely to subside soon. A hint in this regard was given at a press meet held in the city on March 9, Friday.

As if to put an end to all confusion and resentment, Harikrishna Punaroor, former Sahitya Parishat President proposed the name of Sarvottam Anchan, former president of the Mangalore Taluk Sahitya Parishat President for the post.

When asked why the past president Kalkura has still not handed over charge to the Deputy Director of the District Kannada and Culture Department, even when it is over a month since his tenure ended, Punaroor said such a problem has arisen due to lack of information.

It may be noted here that Sarvottam Anchan whose name has come up for DK Sahitya Parishat presidentship has the experience of serving the literary field to a remarkable extent.
