MANGALORE : There are fake Lokayukta police in Mangalore. Be beware of them ! Such a
warning has been served to the government officials by the Mangalore Lokayukta police. This
warning in the wake of complaints that some people posing as Lokayukta police of DK and
Udupi districts were harassing officials directly or indirectly.
Lokayukta SP Jungamaiah has said there are complaints that there have been instances of fake
Lokayukta cops raiding government officials waiting for an opportune time and then fleecing
the officials and staff.
He has also instructed all officials to immediately inform the local Lokayukta police about any
suspicious person who come posing as Lokayukta police.
